Yearly Slip FAQs
From ski boats and patio boats to large houseboats, we have a variety different size boat slips. The majority of vessels moored at Pine Flat are enclosed houseboats and growth will be geared for larger slips.
Boat slips are part of a gated, walk-on marina with dock fingers to moor to.
Boat slips do not have power.
Slips are rented on a yearly basis only.
Boat slips are for personal vacation use only. There are no live-a-boards or sub-leases allowed.
Your boat will be located on Federal land and so federal law, in addition to state law, applies to all activity done on the lake.
In order to get a slip at the marina, a boat owner must show that the boat is clean and in seaworthy condition. The lessee must make timely payments to the marina, maintain and prove current insurance and vessel registration. The marina rules must be followed to retain a slip. These rules encompass a variety of aspects from personal behavior to boat maintenance and usage. The marina maintains the right to refuse service to any customer. Before buying a boat at the marina, you should ask about the boat slip. If that slip will be available, if payments are owed or the boat may move locations. Buying a boat at the marina does not guarantee a boat slip, you must talk with the marina to find out what is going to be done with the slip
Annual slips start May 1 and end April 30th. Boat owners who have maintained a slip for a year may split payments after the first year. 1st payment is for May 1 to October 31 and 2nd payment is for Nov 1 to April 30th. First payments are due no later than April 30th. Second payments are due no later than October 31st. A 30 day notice of non-renewal will be accepted from current paid boat owners. Boats with no fees due, must pull their boat out before April 30. Notice must be given to avoid accumulating late fees. How are boats measured?
Boats are measured from their farthest point front to back. This includes the motor and the swim deck if left in a down position while in the marina. Extra footage charge
The extra footage charge is added to the base price. What if my boat doesn’t fit these measurements?
Special rates will apply to boats that are other sizes. Does PFLM or LVM allow live-aboards?
No. The slips are for vacation use. Use as a primary residence is not allowed. The federal government places slips into a camping category and enforces a two week maximum stay period.
